"The Forgiving", was formed in 1968 with the three members from "The Itch" and "P.C.G.Citadel" ( Garry Powell guitar/keybds, Gary Hunt bass and twin brother Paul Hunt drums). The band only played original music except from the stage show 'Under The Sun' written by Victoria University Professor Jenny McLeod. A single (Shadow People) and live album was recorded on the Phillips/Polygram lables of 'Under the Sun'. "The Forgiving" played many gigs in the North Island..(Information and pictures C/- ricko.co.nz NZ Circuit Bands and Musicians) Garry Powell left Palmerston North and shifted to Auckland and the Hunt twins continued as a duo, cutting another album called 'Mouse in a Teapot'.
