"Tanglefoot"  was formed after the resident band from Ali Baba's nite spot in Cuba Street Wellington (a band called Sons And Lovers) broke up - Tanglefoot was an off shoot of that band and started around 1969 / 70 and featured the two original members of Sons And Lovers, lead vocalist Peter Leef and lead guitarist Kemp Tuirirangi - The original keyboard player was Brent Thomas (nicknamed shorty, who married Sharon O'Neill) and was replaced by Brian Waugh...(Information and pictures C/- ricko.co.nz NZ Circuit Bands and Musicians).. The band played Santana, Three Dog Night, Uria Heep, Deep Purple covers.
