"Showdown" 1978 - 1981 This band was popular in Auckland and frequently toured the North Island, "Showdown" also had residencies at The Birkenhead Inn (North Shore) and The Prospect of Howick Hotel, "Showdown also used to back NZ Artists Brent Brodie, Rob Guest, Billy T James - John Arrol went on to play in the legendary "Sonny Day Blues Band" who were resident at the Family and Naval Pub on K`Road...(Information and pictures C/- ricko.co.nz NZ Circuit Bands and Musicians)
