City Limits 1977, Managed by Cammy Hill, the band started out with a three month residency at Te Atatu Tavern and later a three month residency at The Royal George in Newmarket Auckland but basically most of the time they were on the road everywhere from the far north to Invercargill and Queenstown for a three month residency at O`connells Hotel during the winter of 1978.
Danny Cottrell (lead Guitarist) left the band late 1978 to persue a day job, Ron, Rick and Dana carried on as a trio, a basic keyboard, bass, drums combo with all three singing, the band had lost its Rock N Roll flavour with the absence of Danny`s guitar work, hence the band then worked more restaurant (quieter) venues, along with backing many of NZ`s top cabaret artists.
City Limits played a wide range of popular music mostly dance music, Rock n Roll to easy listening and were in demand for many venues.
Early 1979 "City Limits" came to an end Ron Topp, Dana Sulikosky, Rick Warren formed into other working bands.
