"Old Crow" formed in Auckland in the early 1980s as a Heavy Rock band, they had a huge following on the Auckland Pub Circuit. Recorded at the Lab Studios, Echo Park Studios & Mandrill Recording Studios. We ended up with a couple of recorded original songs & a single that never saw the light of day. The band worked in all the pubs, all over Auckland, on the road to Waihi, Whangarei. Made the finals in the battle of the bands at Mainstreet. Steve Butler took over from Tony Rogers on drums after a few years. Unfortunately the lead singer left the band, and we couldn’t find a replacement, and the band broke up in late 1985….Written by John Wragg 2019
